Heartwarming moment teen takes his terminally ill gran, 91, to her first ever prom after learning she only has months to live
Stephen Vigil, 17, decided to take his gran Julia Jarman to the special event when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was given only three months to live.
Julia, from Fredericksburg in Virginia, USA, had never been to a high school prom and her kind grandson was determined to make her dream come true.
The teen has shared a deep bond with his grandmother ever since his father died from a stroke in 2008.
He was devastated to learn about her illness and through charity the Dream Foundation he was able to take her on a week-long trip to Florida, reports Fredericksburg.com.
