Santa Barbara, Calif. –– At just 23-years-old, Raynard Wilson from Jacksonville, Fl., has been told that he has terminal cancer. Now, Raynard is getting ready to meet his heroes from the Georgia Bulldogs football team at Sanford Stadium on November 23rd, thanks to Dream Foundation.

Four years ago, Raynard was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of bone and soft tissue cancer. In January this year, shortly after his 23rd birthday, Raynard’s medical team delivered the heartbreaking news that it will take his life.

“My journey is unknown going forward, but I try to find encouragement in each day,” says Raynard.

Raynard wrote to Dream Foundation, the only national dream granting organization for adults with a life expectancy of 12 months or less, asking for help to meet his heroes and attend a game.

A lifelong fan of the team’s courage in the face of adversity, Raynard wrote, “My Dream day with the Georgia Bulldogs would be one of motivation and helping me to understand what drives them to be the best and keep moving their level up. Moreover, I would be learning from them and be able to apply it to my life.”

Raynard adds, “I just want to spend a day where I don’t think about my cancer and enjoy hanging out with other young people like myself,”

Raynard and his friend, Taye, will travel from Florida to Georgia with help from Dream Foundation Sustaining Partner, Southwest Airlines.

Raynard will have an opportunity to meet the players of the No. 3 ranked college football team and cheer for them during the game, a Dream he has held dearly since he was just a boy.
