Press Release | September 4, 2019

National dream-granting organization for the terminally-ill and New Jersey-based pharmaceutical company to bring inspiration, comfort and closure to hundreds across the United States

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., 4 September 2019 – Kyowa Kirin, Inc., a global specialty pharmaceutical company, is today announcing its extended support of Dream Foundation – the only national dream-granting organization for terminally-ill adults that has fulfilled over 30,000 final Dreams across the nation – to fulfill an additional 25 final Dreams in the coming year.

Kyowa Kirin’s Commitment to Life – a dedication to improving the quality of life for people around the world – fits seamlessly with Dream Foundation’s mission to fulfill the final Dreams of terminally-ill adults and their families, a critical part of end-of-life care.

Over the last two years, the two organizations have worked together to bring inspiration, comfort and closure to nearly 25 Dream recipients, which, directly and indirectly, affected hundreds of family members, friends and communities.

Dream recipients can be reunited with family members and loved ones, meet personal heroes or take trips with their children to store up precious memories.

In addition to making more final Dreams come true, the enhanced collaboration will also give U.S.-based Kyowa Kirin employees the opportunity to be directly involved in meeting Dream recipients helping to fulfill their Dreams, bringing their mission to life.

“Our mission to improve the lives of people around the world is central to our culture, and our collaboration with Dream Foundation allows us to live our values in a tangible way within our communities,” says Kyowa Kirin’s EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, Len Paolillo.

“Kyowa Kirin’s growing commitment to our mission is wonderful,” says Dream Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Kisa Heyer. “We are honored to have the support of the company as a whole and look forward to working closely with their dedicated employees.”

Dream Recipients must be at least 18 years old, have a life expectancy of nine months or less, and lack the resources to achieve their Dreams on their own. To apply for a Dream, please visit dreamfoundation.org/how-to-apply.
