The quilt made by Karen Thompson
When Peter Noone fan club members pooled together their Herman's Hermits t-shirts for a quilt made by Karen Thompson, little did they know that they would also be making dreams comes true.
Herman’s Hermits, starring Peter Noone, enjoyed great fame in the 1960s as part of the “British Invasion.” They had two US number one hits, “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” and “I’m Henry the Eighth.”
When fan club members heard about Karen’s quilt, they decided to raffle it off with the proceeds benefiting the charity of Peter’s choice. Peter graciously chose Dream Foundation and the raffle was held last month in Bay St. Louis, MS. Raffle coordinator Betty Crocker Patin from Nacogdoches, TX sent us this letter with a check for $1802.00.
“To be honest, I had never heard of the Dream Foundation before Peter chose it as the charity for the raffle. I was in awe of the generosity of your foundation. Terminally ill adults are often forgotten, as far as being able to realize their final heart’s desires is concerned. Our club is honored to be able to support this wonderful cause.”
Dream Foundation is honored to be supported by Peter Noone and the Peter Noone Fan Club. For more information on Noone and the club go to www.peternoone.com or the Peter Noone Forum...
