Terminally ill brothers granted dream vacation
Greg and Roger Potson have shared childhood memories, years of military service, and now, a battle with terminal cancer.
This month, the Poston brothers will share a dream.
“They always wanted to see the Grand Canyon,” said their physician, Dr. Emily Vannorsdall. “And with Roger not doing as well currently, we wanted to be able to make that happen soon.”
The brothers, both Dayton residents, were presented Wednesday with a four-day family vacation to the Grand Canyon this month. They’ll be taking along their three younger siblings, who have remained close to them over the years.
Greg is battling lung cancer. Roger has survived stage-four pancreatic cancer for a year and has now stopped treatments.
