VA and Dream Foundation secure special lift chair to help Ocala Navy veteran Milo McNew
Milo Guy McNew served his country as a hospital corpsman during his eight years in the U.S. Navy. He later served his civilian communities as a pediatrician and pharmacist.
Now, at age 79, as McNew deals with the effects of Parkinson’s disease, he’s gotten a tangible thank you for his service.
McNew received a Golden Technologies Cambridge model powered recliner lift chair to help him stand up and soothe his muscles as he rests in different positions. The chair comes through a partnership between the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System and the Dreams for Veterans program of the Dream Foundation of Santa Barbara, California.
