2024: Dream Foundation’s 30th Anniversary
Today, Dream Foundation is supported by a nationwide community of individual supporters, volunteers, healthcare professionals, members of military organizations, and corporate partners.
Dream Foundation is guided by a dedicated Board of leaders whose collective expertise spans healthcare, finance, marketing, and the military. Many board members have direct personal or professional connections to end-of-life care.
Everyone involved is united by one powerful mission: to bring comfort, joy, and closure to those facing the end of life by making final Dreams come true.
Since that first Dream in 1994, you have helped fulfill more than 35,000 Dreams across the United States. You have touched the lives of more than 250,000 family members, cherished friends, caregivers, and healthcare workers.
You have made possible countless reunions, first and last journeys to places of sacred importance, family vacations, and unique experiences.
Every Dream is possible only because of your support, showing heartfelt generosity in all its forms.
Travel partners have graciously donated flights and car transportation. Others have donated accommodations and unforgettable experiences.
Some have been able to give on a grand scale, from generous endowments to the gift of the Dream Plaza in Santa Barbara.
Many of you have donated each year for 25 or more years, earning a place of honor in Dream Foundation’s Quarter Century Club for your steadfast commitment.
And at the time of writing this, some of you will be taking part in the world’s most iconic marathons to raise funds for Dreams.
Over the years, the Dream program has grown and evolved. Dream Foundation now serves Dreams in every state, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Delivering the Dreams — volunteers arriving with everything provided by the Foundation along with their own thoughtful touches — began as a loving gesture and is now a signature element of the program.
Alongside the smiles, tears, and unforgettable words of gratitude from those whose lives you have touched with a Dream, your impact is undeniable. An independent study conducted with the support of the American Psychiatric Association found that 80% of Dream recipients report a greater sense of well-being.
And Dreams for Veterans, officially launched in 2015 to unite members of the military community to honor those who served with a final Dream, has been recognized for its innovative approach to palliative care.
As Dream Foundation celebrates 30 years of Dreams fulfilled, we are filled with gratitude.
Every Dream fulfilled is a testament to your compassion, and a reminder of the good that can happen when people come together with open hearts.
Whether you’ve been with us from the start or joined us recently on the journey—thank you.
We hope you will be with us for the next 30 years of love, hope, and humanity.
With appreciation,
