Emily served as a “Donut Dollie” in the Vietnam war and dreamed of soaring in a glider to experience the joy of flying once more. After her Dream, she shared, “I want to thank you for one of the greatest adventures of my lifetime.”

U.S. Army veteran Virginia dreamed of seeing her sister once more and taking a trip to San Francisco. Dream Foundation arranged a Dream trip to the city which included a private tour of the USS Hornet, where Virginia was welcomed by a bell rung only for VIPs and dignitaries, and a private tour of the Academy of Sciences. Virginia ended her trip with a tearful reunion with her sister in Yuba city, “You don’t know how happy I am!” She shared. “I never dreamt that anything like this would ever happen to me.”

Language Do’s And Don’ts

  • Dream Foundation is not The Dream Foundation.
  • Dream Foundation serves terminally-ill adults.
  • When we refer to Dreams, we capitalize the “D” because they are important to us.

FUNDRAISERS

Please help me make the Dreams of terminally-ill veterans come true with a gift to Dream Foundation’s Dreams for Veterans program! Your gifts will help terminally-ill U.S. military veterans who served from World War II to the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and every conflict in between; those who served during peacetime or who currently serve on active duty, in the Reserve and National Guard. The average cost of a Dream is $2,300.

Stream for Dreams for Veterans!

You can stream to raise funds for our Dreams for Veterans program in honor of those who have served.

We strive to be family friendly in everything we do. Please join us in following these guidelines:

Please don’t stream games with crude or inappropriate content and/or an ESRB rating of “Adults Only.”

The following games are prohibited from Dream Foundation streams:

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Manhunt
  • Conker’s Bad Fur Day
  • Mortal Kombat

Please don’t use explicit language or visuals that are profane, sexual or bigoted in nature, or illicit substances or paraphernalia. And please don’t become intoxicated before or during the stream.

Please treat everyone with kindness and respect during your stream.

Take care of yourself! Stay hydrated, take breaks and remember to eat if you’re streaming for hours on end!

If you break these guidelines, we’ll have to remove any affiliation with Dream Foundation.

Before you start

Get the hype going! Use our messaging and social media graphics to promote your stream on your social channels. Join Discord to promote your stream there.

Sign up on Tiltify, where your viewers can donate to our Dreams for Veterans program. Use Tiltify’s tools to trigger milestone donations and goals during your stream.

Power your campaign! During your stream, help people understand the difference their gifts make by sharing veterans’ Dream stories, photos and videos. Use the banners and graphics we provide.

The difference your stream can make

Our Dreams for Veterans program honors our veterans’ service by fulfilling final Dreams for veterans and their families. You’ll be helping U.S. military veterans who served from World War II to the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars and every conflict in between; those who served during peacetime or who currently serve on active duty, in the Reserve and National Guard.

All Dreams provide inspiration, comfort and closure at the end of life.

$25 can provide gas to help a veteran attend a support group gathering.

$50 can help with accommodations for a veteran attending a military memorial to pay their last respects.

$100 can help provide a veteran with transportation to attend a pinning ceremony.

$2,300 is the average cost of a Dream

All gifts will be pooled to support Dreams for Veterans.
