Friday night at Sign of the Whale in Washington D.C. was great for the Mighty Tuks and Dream Foundation. More than 50 people came out to celebrate, see the adventurers off, and raise money for a worthy cause. Many in attendance were Jarryd and Simon’s former classmates from nearby George Washington University; others were colleagues and friends. All shared a passion for philanthropy, and were eager to learn more about the race and the exploits to come.
Jarryd, the ringleader, learned of the Rickshaw Run while in England, then roped Simon and another friend from Norway in to the idea. Thomas Rollerson, Steve Shulem, Bob Murphey, Michael Erickson, and Richard Westin SmithOn April 23, Dream Foundation hosted Dream Makers Circle Members (those who adopted a dream within the last year) on a “Dream Boat” excursion aboard the Crystal Cruises luxury liner, the Crystal Symphony, which was anchored off the coast of Santa Barbara.
Guests enjoyed a “mini-getaway” that included a light lunch, spirits, entertainment, and a tour of the beautiful ship.

Driving home the meaning behind our special gathering was Juliette, sister of our beloved Dream Ambassador, Noelle. In her words: “A heartfelt thank you to all of you in the Dream Foundation family. You sure gave us something to smile about. And sometimes, something to smile about is just what we need.”
We always look to our family and friends to find creative ways to help raise funds to fulfill our dreams. Well, Jarryd, Simon, and Kristian are taking it to the extreme!
They’ve signed up for the Adventurists Rickshaw Run. Its a Cross-Country, 3000+ mi. race across India. In nothing but a Rickshaw.
Jarryd, Simon and Kristian have formed a team called the Mighty Tuks. Their mission, aside from the adventure of a lifetime, is to fulfill a dream through Dream Foundation for each day they are out on the road during their two-week trip.
