Eaton woman’s dying wish: ‘I want to see Mt. Rushmore’

 

Dream Foundation, the only national dream-granting organization for adults and their families suffering life-threatening illness, is fulfilling 52-year-old Alison “Ali” Shaffer’s dying wish to visit Mount Rushmore during President’s Day weekend with her husband, William “Butch” Shaffer.

During a special presentation Tuesday morning, Jane Gosser, Marnie Otte, and George Billings, Dream Foundation  volunteers representing the BioOncology firm Genentech, a Dream Foundation corporate Partner in Dreams, came to Shaffer’s home in Eaton, where they presented Ali with all the details of her dream vacation, as well as a bouquet of fresh flowers, chocolates, and a gift basket stocked with a variety of essentials to enhance their trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. (Read more)
