In Austin’s Words
“Many young people dream of celebrating their 21st birthday milestone. I had big ideas for how to celebrate my 21st this year. Yet when my childhood classmate, and friend of 15 years, died at the age of 21, I started to think about all the people who were just focusing on surviving another year. I decided my 21st birthday should be used to grant someone else’s wish.
My sister, Sheridan, is the one who introduced me to Dream Foundation. As it happens, at around the same time, Dream Foundation had just received a dream request from Jasmine for a last 21st birthday party. And that was it. I decided I would raise $1,000 and help make Jasmine’s dream to have a 21st birthday party with all her friends and family a reality.
As I learned more about Jasmine, her wish inspired me to take the effort a step further. I decided to create and underwrite (with the help of dear friends) a special “DREAM FOR 21″ bracelet with the hopes of selling 1,000. By buying a bracelet today, you are helping to support 21 final dreams.”
